Coping strategies

(Thanks so much, everyone, for your kind words about my grandfather. Time, of course, heals all.)

*****

Business trips (both of us), guests, planning another major move (more on that later), trying to come up with names for the healthy BOY that seems to be crushing my internal organs, the beginnings of potty training, keeping up with a two-year-old…

It’s all enough to make you want to spend $10 on a ridiculously unnecessary kitchen accessory…

…make a metric ton of gingersnap cookies…

…and then eat them ALL UP ALL BY MYSELF.

Congrats on your wee boy! May the pattern plotting officially begin!

Mazel Tov on discovering you’ll be having a boy! And I’m a firm believer that you can’t have enough cookie cutters if there are still shapes you don’t have. [If you happen to end up in our vicinity in December for our annual Gingerbread party, you'll see what I mean.]

It amazes me that you can own 101 cookie cutters and still be lacking a shape you need. You may be thinking that is impossible, but trust me! One day Jacob is going to decide he loves a certain animal, sport etc and you will go to your 101 trusty cutters only to be shocked that it isn’t there. :-)
Two boys are great~you will enjoy watching the bonds of brothers. Congrats!
